Asheville Jessica Elaine Maynard, 23, of 130 Candler Knob Road went to be with her Lord on Friday, November 2, 2012. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Jessica was formerly employed with the Rescue Mission Thrift Store, attended Riverside Baptist Church and had attended Enka High School. She was a daughter of Vanessa Jane Elkins Simmons and her husband, Stephen Simmons of Candler; sisters, Samantha Maynard, Kelley Rice and Candice Lambert; brother, Trent Hensley and 22 adopted brothers and sisters; maternal grandparents, James and Elaine Elkins of Asheville; aunt, Karen Milligan; uncle, Carl Thomas Elkins; several cousins including, Whitney, Lauren and Chloe and a number of great aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in the chapel of Anders Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Marc Penley officiating. Graveside services will be held 11 AM Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Gashes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Monday at the funeral home.
