Jerry Lee Mosser

February 3, 1941 — June 15, 2023

Weaverville – Jerry Lee Mosser, 82, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at his residence.


Mr. Mosser grew up in Geneva, Indiana and lived in Verona, Wisconsin prior to moving to Buncombe County, NC 3 ½ years ago to be closer to family and these beloved mountains. He was a Microbiologist, Technical Writer, and later in life served as a Chaplin at Agrace Hospice in Wisconsin. He was an ordained minister through the Unitarian Universalist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.


Mr. Mosser was a son of the late Ardon S. Mosser and Allene Boze Mosser. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Mosser and wife Anita; and sister, Joyce Spitler and husband Marvin.


Surviving are his wife of over 57 years, Anne Susan Gift Mosser; sons: Eric Ardon Mosser, and Gregory Kent Mosser and wife Jocelyn; granddaughter, Willa Riley Rose Mosser; brother, Steven Mosser and wife Becky; and by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.


A private service will be held at Green Hills Cemetery in Asheville, NC.


The Mosser family would like to say a very special thank you to the Reems Creek Fire and Rescue for all their assistance following Mr. Mosser’s passing.
