Jennie E. Anders

Asheville - Jennie E. Watkins Anders, 95, of 120 Richmond Hill Dr. died Monday January 7, 2002 at Emerald Ridge Rehab and Care Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a charter member of Riverside Baptist Church. She was the daugher of the late John Anderson Watkins and Harriet Anders Watkins and wife of the late William Bart Anders who died in 1980. Surviving are her daughters, Virginia Ramsey of Weaverville and Christine Thomas of Fletcher; sons, William Herbert Anders of Asheville, Charles Nealon Anders of Weaverville and Gene G. Anders of Fairview; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2 PM Thursday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Eb Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. Her family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
