Jennie Anders

Asheville Jennie Teresa Wallen Anders, 103, of 245 East School Road, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at her residence following a period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. She was a home maker and a member of World Wide Church of God in Morristown, TN. Mrs. Anders was the daughter of the late Tom and Maggie Chapman Wallen and the wife of William Orville Anders who died in 1970. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Clyde Jay Anders, William Harold Anders and James Edmund Anders. Surviving are her daughters, Mary Burvalee Allen of Asheville, Myrtle Gunter of Newport, TN, Dorothy Yearly of Monroe Michigan and Margaret Cutler of Cleveland, OH; son, Jack with whom she made her home; 38 grandchildren, 80 great grandchildren and 44 great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Ellis Necessary officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bobby Anders, Gene Anders, James Thompson, Lonnie Thompson, Charlie Gross and Tyler Rogers. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
