Jeffrey "Jeff" Stines

Alexander – Jeffrey “Jeff” Stines, 65, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021, at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of Orville Dennis Stines and Virginia Dare Presnell Stines. Jeff had a green thumb and could make any plant thrive in his care. He loved the outdoors and was a masterfully skilled fisherman. His favorite type of fishing was trout fishing. He also enjoyed hunting. Classic country music was a passion of his; he could readily name almost every county musician. He was a man whom was not afraid to speak his mind, a man who would prefer actions to words. Surviving are his daughter, Ashley Stines; sons: Jarett Stines and Brett Stines; two grandchildren; and brother, Jonathan “Jon” Stines. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 till 9 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
