Jeannie Cleveland Tyler

Jeannie Cleveland (Baker) Tyler, 80, of 6 Maybury Court in Arden went to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 17th, 2023, after receiving much love and care from The Greens of Hendersonville.

Jeannie was born in Williston, SC where she graduated from Williston- Elko High School. She then attended the College of Augusta for nursing.

She was blessed to have lived in many beautiful places such as Paris France, Charleston, SC, Savannah, GA and Arden, NC.

She retired from BELKS Department Store after 25 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, pottery, reading, pet sitting, helping others, English tv shows and her hot tea!

Jeannie was the daughter of the late Charles M. Baker and Mary "Polly" Baker. She was proceeded in death by her brothers Jimmy and Charlie Baker. Her beloved sister Julia Ravenscroft resides in Williston, SC along with 2 nieces Julie and Shellie.

Surviving is her children Cecil E. Tyler of Arden, daughter Hope E. Tyler of Raleigh and Charity Lyn Tyler also of Arden.

Grandsons are Taren and Kai Tyler.

Special mention must go to Patti Paris of Mills River whom Jeannie considered as her daughter for more than 30 years. Additionally, thank you to everyone at Four Seasons Hospice of Hendersonville and to the entire staff at The Greens of Hendersonville.

Jeannies' wishes are to have a Celebration of Life at the family home in Arden in the Springtime and then have her ashes distributed throughout the Blue Ridge Mountains.
