Jeanette Mcfee Worley

Leicester – Martha Jeanette McFee Worley, 79, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Henderson County, and resident of Buncombe County for all of her life. She was a lifelong mother and homemaker, loved to fish, crafts, cooking and raising kids, and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late A.W. McFee and Emma Elizabeth Freeman McFee. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, A.W. McFee, Jr. and Raymond McFee; infant sister, Shirley McFee and sister, Ruby Pake. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Wayne Thomas Worley, Sr. of the home; children, Wayne Worley, Jr. (Barbara) of Greenville, SC, Jeff Worley (Kimberly) of Leicester and Melissa Lee (Todd) of Shelby; grandchildren, Jeff Worley, Christina Bayne, Danielle Cooper, Chris Worley, Katelyn Joyner, Michael Lee and Matthew Lee; 8 great grandchildren; brother, Eddie McFee (Janet) of Fairview and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Rev. Nelson Ponder officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
