Janie Hilda Gaddy

Asheville – Janie Hilda Gaddy, 76, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, December 26, 2021, at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Asheville, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow Fletcher Maxwell and Eloise Ball Maxwell. She was also preceded in death by her sister, JoAnn Blackwell. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Robert Gaddy; children: Ronald Albert Kodie, II (Andy) of Wisconsin, Woodrow Charles Kodie of Arden, Robbie Gaddy (Lisa) of Asheville, Angela Rash (Donnie) of Asheville, Steven Kodie (Teresa) of Rockford, IL, Scott Kodie of Tamaroa, IL, and Deana Shelton (Ricky Hall) of Greenville, SC; sisters: Alice Clapp of St. Paul, IN, and Carolyn Maxwell-Moller (Frank) of Orlando, FL; brother-in-law, Eddie Blackwell of Anderson, SC; eleven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, December 31, 2021, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Friday.
