James Lowell Mckee

GAITHERSBURG, MD James Lowell McKee, 83, of 19323-103 Clubhouse Road passed away Monday, February 15, 2010. He was a native of Asheville, NC and had resided in Bristol, TN for 38 years prior to moving to Gaithersburg, MD in 1995. Mr. McKee retired from Food City where he served as a Manager of Meat Departments. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gaithersburg, MD, former music director of several churches in Tennessee and in North Carolina, was a Mason and a Shriner. He was a son of the late James Alfred McKee and Amelia Singleton McKee. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Flora Dell Rumbough McKee; son, Bruce McKee of Kingsport, TN; daughter, Karen Reinhard and husband, John of Rockville, MD; grandchildren, Michael McKee, Alex Reinhard and Connor Reinhard; brother, Carl McKee of Hendersonville and several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. John T. Tiller officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery with Michael McKee, Alex Reinhard, Connor Reinhard, Charles Dula, Rodney Metcalf, Charles Metcalf and Roy Rathbone serving as pallbearers.
