James Hance

ASHEVILLE - James Junior Hance, 56, passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Buncombe County, James was the son of the late James Edgar Hance and Barbara Edmonds Hagan. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Phillip Leslie Hance and Nathan Lewis Hance. James was the beloved Daddy of Shannon Gail Hance of Asheville, Jaimie Leanne Hance of Spartanburg, and Tiffany Dene` Davenport and her husband Alexis of Asheville; beloved Papaw of Rayanne, Elijah, Carter and Alex Hance, and Alexa Davenport; brother of: Diane Crowell and her husband Jimmy of Candler, and Margie Gaddy of Candler. James made it a point to live life to the fullest and never met a stranger. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Lake Julian Park on Monday, September 3, 2012 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family (at any time) or at any Mountain First Bank branch directly to the Estate Account of James Hance (on or after September 4, 2012). All donations will be given to The Shriners Hospital for Children by the family in James' memory.
