James Glenn Gaddy

Fairview James Glenn Gaddy, 58, of 704 Old Fort Road, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a 1968 graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School, where he played saxophone in the band. Mr. Gaddy was an avid HAM Radio enthusiast, having the call number WB4FON. He was a member of The Amateur Radio Relay League and The Blue Ridge Amateur Radio Society of Greenville, SC. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Mr. Gaddy was the son of James D. Gaddy of Asheville, and the late Edna A. Gaddy. In addition to his father, surviving is his wife of 37 years, Mary Ann Wright Gaddy, of the home. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Friday at Cane Creek Cemetery, with the Rev. Charles Rogers officiating.
