James Edward "Jim" Cook

Simpsonville, SC James Edward Jim Cook, 84, of 200 Sullivan Road died Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. A native of Buncombe County and resident for many years. He attended Christ School in Asheville and was a U.S. Merchant Marine Veteran of WW II. He was the son of the late Jesse W. Cook and Adalaide Miller Cook. Surviving are his wife, Maxine Fox Cook of the home; daughter, Sandra McInturff of Asheville; 2 grandsons, Chad and Ian McInturff; step daughter, Dian Bebber of Vero Beach, FL; step granddaughter, Kim Westerberg of Sandy Springs, GA and step grandson, Chad Westerberg of Woodstock, GA; brother, Robert Bob Cook of Charleston, SC. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Wednesday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. John T. Tiller officiating.
