James E. "Bubba" Amerson

Forest City James Bubba Edgar Amerson, 64, of 174 Oakland Heights Road Lot #32 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at his residence. A native of Macon, Georgia, he had lived in North Carolina the past 30 years. Mr. Amerson was a son of the late Andrew Adam Amerson and Inez Eva Knight Amerson Curtis and husband of the late Sara June Myrick Amerson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Bob Amerson and Alton A. Amerson and sisters, Marie Curtis and Marguerite A. Houston. Surviving are his brothers, Tommy G. Amerson & wife, Ollie of Asheville; sisters, Ann Butterworth & husband, Rev. Joe Butterworth of Lizella, GA and Carolyn Spivey & husband, Gene of Carrabelle, FL; step-sons, Anthony Myrick and Kenneth Myrick both of Asheville; several nieces, nephews & great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Butterworth officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
