Jackie Lee Williams I

Asheville - Jackie Lee Williams, I, 55, of 95 Richmond Hill Rd. went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, August 15, 2002 at Mission St. Josephs Health System. A native of Buncombe County, he was the Owner/Administrator of Richmond Hill Rest Home and he was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Madison County. Mr. Williams was a veteran of the US Army, serving two terms in Vietnam. He was the son of Paul Williams of Candler and Ollie Grooms Williams of west Asheville. Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Barbara Revis Williams of the home; daughter, Pam Griffin and husband Chad of Asheville; son, Jackie Lee Williams, II and wife Leslie of Asheville; grandchildren, Chloe Griffin and Abigail Williams; sisters, Nancy Yearout of Leicester, Linda Ramsey of Enka, and Patsy Holland of Woodfin; brothers, Billy Williams of Candler and Roger Williams of Skyland. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at the First Nazarene Church of Asheville with Pastor Jim Stewart officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military graveside rites conducted by the Buncombe County Veterans Council/Volunteer Memorial Team. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
