Asheville – Jack Edmond Anderson, 61, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at his residence while surrounded by family. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Jack Everett Anderson and Thelma Moore Tipton. Jack went to the First Church of the Nazarene of Asheville and had a strong faith in God. He loved helping people, whether it was chopping wood for a neighbor or helping his kids and grandkids. He was a loving husband and father. He had a goofy sense of humor and was always very interested in the lives of his grandchildren. He also cherished his time with his family and friends, and was loved by all who knew him. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Linda Earley Anderson; daughters: Stephanie English and husband Bryan of Asheville, and Melissa Hudson and husband John of Alexander; grandchildren: Aubrey, August, Isaac, Saoirse, Cormac; sister, Tammy Mathis of Candler; and brother, Mark Anderson and wife Treba of Asheville. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, April 23, 2022, at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Andrew Crimmins officiating. The family will receive friends following the service on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: First Church of the Nazarene, 385 Hazel Mill Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
