Ivanell Best

Ivanell Best, 80, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Glen Dale Swann Moss. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Donald Eugene Best; 2 sisters, and 2 brothers. Mrs. Best graduated from Biltmore High School as her class Valedictorian, and was a member of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Best is survived by her daughters: Rebecca Stokes and Jane Best of Asheville; grandchildren, great grandchildren, 2 sisters, a brother, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews all of whom she loved dearly. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 7, 2015 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Mike Wacaster officiating. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends on Saturday for 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home.
