Irene Revis

Irene Revis, 89, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Helen Israel Holcombe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Pender Orr Revis; and sister, Marian Edith Israel. Mrs. Revis retired from Kellwood Mfg. after more than 30 years of service and was a member of Newfound Baptist Church. Surviving are her children: Gordon Revis and wife Patricia, Rex Revis and wife Katherine, and Cynthia Williams and husband Aaron, all of Leicester; grandchildren: Michael Revis, Daniel Revis, Melissa Greenway, Jason Revis, and Rebekah Brown; great-grandchildren: Dylan and Autumn Greenway, and Owen Revis; and nephews: Ronnie Revis and Rickie Revis both of Jacksonville, FL. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, May 2, 2017 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at the Newfound Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
