Inez Janette Hill

Morganton – Inez Janette Moses Hill, 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the Greens of Weaverville.

A native of Valdese, Mrs. Hill resided in Buncombe County from 1969 till 2008 when she moved back to Burke County. She was a 1962 graduate of Drexel High School and retired from Mission Hospital following 25 years of service in the Dietary Department.

Mrs. Hill is preceded in death by her parents, Isaiah Iverson Moses and Thelma Mary Baker Moses; husband, Robert Willard Hill; and brothers: Isaiah Iverson “Buddy” Moses, Jr., and Daniel Eugene Moses.

She is survived by her sisters: Wilma Joyce Sartain and Thelma Maria Moses Abee; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Sluder officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1 till 2 pm at the funeral home.
