Inez Cogdill Roberts

Weaverville - Inez Cogdill Roberts, 70, died Monday May 20, 2002 at her residence. A native of Madison County and a resident most of her life in Buncombe County. She was a homemaker and a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church. Mrs. Roberts was a daughter of the late Lonnie and Nannie Roberts Cogdill and wife of Rev. Lloyd Verlon Roberts who died February 17, 2001. She was loved and cherished by all of her family including her daughters, Peggy Jo Shelton of Mars Hill, Janice Ann Bennett of Weaverville, Karen Marlowe of Nebo and Rita Hudgins of Marion; sons, Larry Roberts of Weaverville and Rickey Roberts of Marion; sister, Viola Roberts of Marshall; 11 special grandchildren and step grandchildren and 6 precious great grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Ebb Jenkins and Rev. Cline Hensley, Jr. officiating. Her family will receive friends following the services from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Green Hills Cemetery.
