Huston Chrisley Payne

Asheville - Huston Chrisley Payne, 63. of 501 Aurora Vista Dr. died Tuesday March 18, 2003 at his home after an extended illness. A native of Madison County, he lived most of his life in Buncombe County and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a son of Matilda Hagan Payne of Emma and the late Floyd Payne. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Payne. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Barbara Wilson Payne of the home; sons, John Payne of Fairview and Bryan Payne of Leicester; sisters, Lois Reagan of Swannanoa, Edna Edwards of Emma and Lucy Lance of Asheville and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Furman Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Payne Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home and at other times at the home of his mother at 625 Emma Road.
