Huey Thomas Jr.

Alexander - Huey Thomas, Jr., 56, of 1143 Old Hwy. #20 died Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at Mission St. Josephs Health System. A life long resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Huey and Mary Calloway Thomas. Surviving are his brothers, Roy Bassett and wife Lucille of Woodfin, Claude Bassett and wife Sandy of West Asheville; and George Thomas and wife Barbara of Weaverville; sisters, Sue Maltry of Asheville, Geraldine Robinson and husband Elden of the home, Beverly Snelson and husband David of Leicester, and Christine Thomas of the home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Dodd officiating. Burial will be in Clarks Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
