Howard Sherrill Wright

Asheville – Howard Sherrill Wright, 75, of 8 Manila Street, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 25, 2020, at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he resided in Asheville most of his life and was the son of the late Carroll Rudolph Wright and Grace Marie Medford Wright. He was also preceded in death by his son, Stephen Patrick Wright and daughter, Kimberly Michelle Wright. Mr. Wright retired from American Enka Corporation following 35 years of service. Following retirement he served as a security officer with Volvo and Mission Hospital and was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Linda Brooks Wright of the home; daughter: Stephanie Mull and husband Randy; grandchildren: Randy, Kendall and Keilyn; sister: Evelyn Lester of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2pm Tuesday, December 29, 2020, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Tim Warren officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
