Howard Burgin, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Memorial Mission Hospital.
A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Samuel Lee Burgin and Clara Bell Petty Burgin. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Julia Burgin and Antinita Burgin; and brother, Robin Petty.

In addition to helping others with his handy talents, he could always bring a smile and a laugh to those around him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife (separated), Sabrina Freeman Burgin; fiancée, Elaina Brooks; children: Deshawn Burgin, Shamequia Burgin, Cordero Burgin, Brandy Burgin, and Breanna Burgin; step-children: Felicia Tomberlin and husband Joshua, and Brandon Freeman; many beloved grandchildren; sisters, Ann Dean and J.B. Burgin; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
