Horace Junior "T-Model" Stephenson

Horace Junior T-Model Stephenson, 81, of Swannanoa, went home to Heaven on Thursday, November 7, 2013. He was a lifelong resident of Swannanoa and a faithful member of Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. He retired from Beacon Manufacturing Company after 48 years of service. He was the son of the lateHorace and Jeannie Stephenson. He was also preceded in death his wife of 58 years, Betty Jean Stephenson, who died October 18, 2013; brothers, William and Jim; and Sons, Dennis and Terry. He is survived by daughters: Jan Phillips and her husband Steve of Easly, SC, Brenda McFalls and her husband David of Woodfin, and Katherine Moore and her husband Larry of Fairview; sons: Curtis Stephenson and his wife Lisa of Fletcher, and Kevin Stephenson and his wife Tammy of Asheville; daughter-in-law, Katie Stephenson of Swannanoa; sister, Lona Belle McMahan of Swannanoa; brother, Charles Stephenson of Swannanoa; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, including a very special granddaughter and caregiver Chevelle. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 10, 2013, at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Frank Cantrell, and Larry Carver officiating. Burial will follow in Sky View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 8:00 PM Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
