Helen Neubert

Candler - Helen Lorraine Reece Neubert, 86, went home to be with her Lord Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Neubert was a homemaker and member of Stoney Fork Baptist Church. She had formerly attended Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church during her younger years. Mrs. Neubert was the daughter of the late William Harrison and Verdie Eva Arrington Reece, and the wife of the late H M Neubert. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Susan; son, Jonathan; and two grandchildren. Surviving are her children: Timothy Neubert of Candler, Rebecca Elliott and husband David of Clyde, Tamara Wooten of Marshall, Michael Neubert of Rutherfordton, Peggy N. Owen and husband Lamar of Rosman, Amanda Wright and husband Michael of Weaverville, and Samantha Neubert of Springfield, OR; 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, May 17 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jeff Massey and Rev. Bobby Winebarger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
