Helen Kornhauser

Asheville Helen Chaplin Kornhauser, 95, of 5 Princeton Drive, died Thursday, August 30, 2018, at the Aston Park Health Care Center. A native of Darlington, SC, she had moved to the Asheville area in the 1970s. She was a longstanding servant of Jehovah and always zealous in the ministry. Mrs. Kornhauser was the daughter of the late Asbury Leverne Chaplin and Ruth Jordan Chaplin and wife of Daniel Leonard Kornhauser, who died in January of 2000. She was also preceded in death by her son, James Lawrence Kornhauser, who died in March of 2016. Surviving are her daughter, Karen Kornhauser of Asheville; son, Henry Kornhauser of Corpus Christi, TX; grandchildren, Teresa Lindsey, Daniel Kornhauser, and Charles Kornhauser; great grandchildren, Jill, Cynthia and Lisa. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the West Asheville Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses.
