Helen Gaddy

Asheville Helen Hill Gaddy, 94, of Asheville, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Aston Park Healthcare Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. Gaddy worked as a switchboard operator with Mission Hospitals. She was a member of Living Hope Christian Fellowship Church. Mrs. Gaddy was a daughter of the late William Mitchell and Lula Eller Hill, and was the wife of William Bunyan Gaddy, who passed away in December, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William James Hill. Surviving are her children: William Ronald Gaddy, Robert Dean Gaddy and wife Janie, and Beverly Mason (Jamie); grandchildren: Robbie Gaddy, Deana Shelton, Angela Rash, and April Worley; six great-grandchildren; three great, great-grandchildren; sisters: Georgia Hill Chandler and Evelyn Hill Robinson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leon Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 12:30 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. The family would like to express a heartfelt Thank You to Carol Schroeder and the staff of Aston Park Healthcare for their loving and compassionate care shown to their mother.
