Helen B. Little

Asheville - Helen B. Little, 92, formerly of Asheville Health Care, went to be with her Lord on November 3, 2003. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Woodby, who died in 1930, and her second husband, Godfrey Little, who died in 1988. She is survived by two children of her first marriage, Ray Woodby of Asheville and Billie Panhorst of Woodrun on Lake Tillery, NC. She is also survived by one child of her second marriage, Thomas Little, of Lorton, Virginia. She was also blessed by three stepchildren of her second marriage, Godfrey (Bud) Little, who resides in Florida, Gay Nell Little Smith, deceased, and Darrell Little, deceased. She is survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helen was a devoted member of Crossroads Assembly and also visited Emmanuel Cathedral, where her grandson Michael Woodby is Pastor. She worked at Asheville Mica Company, Farnam Company and retired from C.P. Clare Company in Fairview. One of her many loves was volunteering at the V.A. Hospital in Oteen where she had accumulated approximately 7,500 hours. Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Brown, Bob Chuprevich and Michael Woodby officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M.
