Asheville - Heather Michelle King, 47, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Mission Hospital.
A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Heather was a devoted Christian and longtime member of Monticello Road Baptist Church. She worked at Jacksons Western Store for more than 10 years. She was a devoted mother and wife, always selflessly giving and caring for her sons and husband who she loved deeply. She always was ready to help others and never met a stranger, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Heather is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Hannah Jean King.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jimmy Wayne “Bo” Mann; children: Joshua King and wife Skye, Zachariah Landon, Shanna Lynn Parker, and Dalton Wayne Mann; parents: Rev. David King and Shirley King; granddaughter, Kyiah Jade Wilson; sisters: Paula Briggs and husband Virgil, Pamela Fender and husband Scott, and Lisa Sharpe and husband Dwight; nieces and nephews: Ashley Meadows and husband Justin, Sawyer Meadows, Makenzy Jones, Jade Greene, Nina Rivadeneira, Connor Stevenson, Silas Greene, Andrea Greene and husband Brian, Brennan Fender, Parker Fender, Preston Fender, Elijah Worley, Lily Worley, Hunter Sharpe and wife Jasmine, Braylon Waddle, Taylor Sharpe, and Nicholas Sharpe; aunt, “Favorite”; and by many beloved aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2023, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Mathis and Rev. Scott Fender officiating. Burial will follow at Dix Creek Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 till 8 pm at the funeral home and at all other times at the home of her sister, Pamela and Scott Fender, 138 Cassada Road, Marshall, NC 28753.
Pallbearers will be Joshua King, Zachariah Landon, Austin Turner, Nick Sharpe, Hunter Sharpe, Jimmy Mann, and Dalton Mann.
