Hazel Mathis Creasman

Asheville - Hazel Louise Mathis Creasman, 76, of 210 Bent Creek Ranch Road, died Monday March 4, 2002 at Asheville Health Care Center after a brief illness. A native of Spartanburg County, SC, she had resided in Buncombe County all of her life. Mrs. Creasman was a daughter of the late Grady and Parilee Morgan Mathis and the wife of Raymond Howard Creasman who died June 25, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Hilda Irene King who died January 11, 2000. Surviving are her daughter, Joanne Creasman Sprinkle of Asheville; granddaughter, Tammy Sprinkle Tweed of Candler; grandson, Raymond Howard Sprinkle of Asheville; great grandson, Cody Jack Tweed of Candler; great granddaughter, Ireland Raye Sprinkle of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. James Mallard officiating. Burial will be at Bent Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and at other times at of the home of her daughter, 208 Bent Creek Ranch Road.
