Hazel Davis Swann

Asheville Hazel Davis Swann, 82, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired in 1994 from Hickory Printing Company in Asheville following 27 years of service. Her love of life was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Swann was the daughter of the late John Virgil Davis and Stella Mae Morrow Davis and was also preceded in death by her sister, Eula D. Byrd and brother, John W. Davis, Sr. Surviving are her children, Susan Swann Rogers and husband Richard of Asheville, Timothy J. Swann and wife Maureen of Swannanoa and William J. Swann and wife Dalene of Leicester; grandchildren, Jennifer Rendon and husband Liborio, Mitchell Swann, Jeremiah Swann and wife Becky, Nicholas Swann and wife Niki, Whitney S. Harvey and husband Michael and Andrew Kirchmeyer and wife Emily; great grandchildren, Colton, Bryant, Ellen, Julia, Maggie, Jude and Jaxon and several nieces and nephews. Private graveside services will be held at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for their love and care given to our mother for 42 years to Dr. Lucian Rice and staff.
