Harvey Eugene "Gene" Shelton

Asheville - Harvey Eugene Gene Shelton, 59, of 100 Cheerio Lane died Sunday, May 23, 2004. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Harvey Davis Shelton and Savannah Marjorie Hughes Harris. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Earl Shelton. Surviving are his sisters, Wanda Harris of Weaverville and Marjorie Jones of West Asheville; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Ballard officiating. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting Mr. Sheltons family.
