Harold Lee Sprouse

Alexander – Harold Lee Sprouse, 75, went to his eternal home on Friday, March 10, 2023, at Memorial Mission Hospital.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Lewis Martin Sprouse and Margaret Edna Mae Spivey Sprouse. He was also preceded in death by his sisters: Joyce Riebell and husband Bill, and Serena Sprouse; and brothers: Bruce Sprouse, and Randall Sprouse.

Harold retired from Silverline Plastics after more than 20 years of service. He was an amazing man that loved everyone who entered into his life, and was a wonderful father and husband. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Gloria Rayfield Sprouse; children: Kimberly Sprouse Hagan and husband Dwight, Lewis Martin Sprouse and fiancée Jennifer, Kelly Michelle Sprouse and husband Jeff Stein, and Karren Sprouse Embler and husband Daniel; grandchildren: Justin Knight, Ryan Knight and wife Brittany, Kerianne Shue and husband Nate, Martin Sprouse, Mitchell Sprouse, Jacob Sprouse, and Kamryn Sprouse; great-grandchildren: Kristen, Chase, Khloe, Kaitlyne, Dallas, Jordan, Harmony, Jayden, Rhett, and Kaylee; sister-in-law, Cathy Sprouse; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

No services are planned at this time.

The Sprouse family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of the 7th floor Trauma Care Unit at Mission Hospital and Asheville Pulmonary for their exceptional care and support given to Harold and his family.
