Gysgt Lamar Bragg, Jr,(Ret)

ASHEVILLE, NC - Gunnery Sgt Lamar H. "Tex" Bragg, Jr., Ret.,90, passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville NC. He was the beloved husband of Mary Anne Bragg. Surviving in addition to his wife are his four children Jack Zill and wife Cheryl, Charmaine and husband Dan, Michelle Sommer, Douglas Zill and wife Juanita, seven grandchildren and beloved pets, Schatzie and Patches. Tex was a career Marine of 23 years. He was critically wounded at Iwo Jima while serving with the Fourth Marine Division. He was a Purple Heart Recepient, charter member of the Fleet Reserve and a life member of the VFW & American Legion in Mrytle Beach, SC. Full Military Services willl be given at Arlington National VA Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements will be announced. Always a Marine " SEMPER FI".
