Grayson Corneilus "Neal" Parton

Arden - Grayson Corneilus Neal Parton, 53, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004 . A lifelong resident of Buncombe County he was preceded in death by his mother, Bernice King Parton. Surviving are his father and step mother, Grason R. and Thelma H. Parton of Candler; fiancee and long time companion, Margaret Lewis of Arden; sister, Grady Alleen Brinkley of Asheville; step sisters, Jane Harris and Judy Baldwin both of Candler; step brother, Chuck Harris of Candler; nephews, Tim Baldwin, Joey Baldwin and Roger Harris all of Candler; nieces, Michelle Maddux, Jennifer Baldwin and Deanna Cayton all of Candler; special friend brother, Jim Wilson. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Cayton officiating. Burial will be in Thomas Memorial Cemetery, Qualla. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
