Grace Sentell

Asheville Grace Elizabeth Felmet Sentell, 95, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Aston Park Health Care Center. A native of White Pine, TN, she had resided in Buncombe County since 1952. She retired in 1974 after 22 years of service with Sears & Roebuck, was formerly employed with the Navy Civil Service in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii from 1943 to 1952 where she interviewed and fingerprinted all employees for the Naval Ship Yard and was a member of Oakley United Methodist Church. Mrs. Sentell was the daughter of the late Gay Marshall Felmet and Effie Dorothy Higgins Felmet and wife of William Bill Mose Sentell who died October 27, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Edward Felmet. Surviving are her nephews, Gary Felmet and wife Adrienne and Mark Felmet and wife Joyce all of Waipahu, HI; nieces, Linda Elizabeth Felmet of Waipahu, HI and Virginia Phillips of Wahiawa, HI; great nieces, Marlena Felmet McDeavitt, Sharon Felmet Mandaquit, Tricia Felmet Hahn and Hina Felmet; six great-great nieces and two great-great nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Friday, March 14th, 2014 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Schilling officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Pace Cemetery in the Green River section of Henderson County.
