Glenn Warren

Candler Glenn Edward Warren, 47, of 699 Monte Vista Road, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Clovis, NM, he had resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He was formerly employed with Linamar where he served in Quality Control, was a 1984 graduate of Asheville High School, received an Associate Degree in Theology from Anchor Bible College, was a veteran of the US Navy and was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church for the past 15 years. Glenn was the son of Setsue Shibata Warren of Asheville and the late Howard Daniel Warren. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife whom he married April 3, 2004, Melodie McGruder Warren and sons, Elijah Warren and Tatemyer Warren all of the home; sister, Shirrell Warren Randalls and husband Andy and their children, Jacob and Jared of Candler; mother-in-law, Cathy Williams and husband Ken of Ridgecrest; father-in-law, David McGruder of Toronto, Ontario, Canada and brother-in-law, Andy McGruder and wife Colleen and their son, Ethan of Charlotte. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Biltmore Baptist Church with Rev. Sam McLamb officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 AM Saturday at the church.
