Gertrude Price Case

Asheville - Gertrude Price Case, 68, of 87 Tremont Street died Saturday, February 15, 2003 at Mission St. Josephs Health System. A native of Henderson County, she had lived in Buncombe County most of her life. She was raised, along with her siblings, at the Baptist Orphanage of North Carolina at Thomasville and she was retired from Beacon Manufacturing. Mrs. Case was the daughter of the late Frank and Barby Wicker Price. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Swannie Gregg and her brother, Sam Price. Surviving are her husband, Harvey J. Case of the home; son, Michael Ray Price of the home; sisters, Pat Shelton of Live Oak, FL and Clotene Alford of Sanderson, FL; nieces, Teresa Gregg and Marsha Gail Baxter Atkinson. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roland Owenby officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Monday at the funeral home.
