Gerard Charles "Jerry" Hutcheon

Inman, SC - Gerard “Jerry” C. Hutcheon, age 71, departed this earthly life on Thursday, July 25, 2019 in Mars Hill, NC. He leaves behind his wife Adrienne Hutcheon; sister, Sandy Hutcheon Rupprecht (John); two stepsons: James Baker (Alicia), and Mark Baker (Dawn); an abundance of grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, David; his mother, Catherine; and two brothers: David and Ronal. Jerry was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1947. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Jerry was recognized as Sailor of the Year in 1968, while aboard the U.S.S. Cavalier APA 37, and served two tours in Vietnam. Jerry loved his family, friends, making people laugh, good music, and food of every ethnicity. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan. He enjoyed cruising around new areas and taking in the sites. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Donations and cards can be mailed to 268 Jordan Creek Road Inman, SC 29349.
