George "Tom" Burgan Morrow, Jr.

George “Tom” Burgan Morrow 2nd, 81, of Fairview, NC joyfully entered Heaven Sunday morning after several years of declining health. Tom was a modern day “John the Baptist” declaring the good news to all he met asking them if they knew about Jesus and the gift of salvation. He was a current member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church and a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist for 72 years. Tom graduated from A.C. Reynolds high school and attended Indiana State University. He served in the Air force with the 305th bomb wing and loved his country greatly! Tom was a contractor who worked with his Father and sons with Morrow Construction and built several homes in the Buncombe county area. Tom is preceded in death by his parents George Burgan Morrow Sr. & Nanna Bateman Morrow, and his daughter Tammy Lynn Phillips. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 48 years Joanna F. Morrow, his sons George D. Morrow “Danny”, George B. Morrow 3rd “Heath” (Tonia). Also survived by his daughter Theresa Williams, Nichole Morrow Galbraith (Mike). And grandchildren: James, Alesha, Shanna, Kurtis, Jovianna, Megan, Aliyah, Hannah, and Ava. And six great grandchildren Family will receive friend’s 1pm till memorial service start time at 2pm on Dec 4th at Pleasant Grove Baptist, located at 455 Hollywood Rd Fairview. The Rev. Charles Rogers & Rev. Bobby Smith will be officiating. Honorary Pallbearers: Mike Galbraith, Dale Mathews, Ralph Faulkner, Tony Holland, James Miller, KK Copney. The Family would like to convey their sincere thanks to all who came to visit and care for Tom during his sickness.
