Garland Fore

Asheville Garland Fore, 90, of Asheville passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Buncombe County and resident most of his life, he was formerly employed as a Superintendent with J.A. Jones, Daniel and Mountain Builders Construction Companies. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran and a son of the late William McKinley Fore and Rosa Melinda Haney Fore. He was the husband for 52 years of Aretha Rosetta Clark Fore who passed away August 25, 1998 and was also preceded in death by his three brothers and three sisters. Surviving are his daughters, Glenda Johnson of Asheville and Judy Ferenchiak and husband Steve of Trinity; grandchildren, Jim Worley and wife Tracie, Roger Worley and wife Nicole, Audrey Webb and husband Keith and Andy Johnson and wife Sue; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Johnny Fore of Mt. Home, AR and Ralph Junior Fore of Moore, SC and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, December 7, 2012 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Mr. Steve J. Ferenchiak officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, conducted by the Buncombe County Veterans Council Memorial Team. Pallbearers will be Jimmie, Roger, Clark, and Grant Worley, Byron Webb and Andy Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Webb, Vernon Ingle, Tommy Marshall and John Moss. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to ones favorite charity.
