Freida Sprouse

Arlington, VA Freida Vashti Pangle Sprouse, 94, formerly of Asheville, passed away Monday, April 20, 2009 in an Arlington Health Care Center. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County she had resided in Virginia for the past 7 years. She retired from the Asheville Broadway Hosiery Mill and was a former member of Woodfin Church of God. Mrs. Sprouse was the daughter of the late Charlie Bird and Ladora Ledford Pangle and the wife of the late James Everette Sprouse who died in 1960. Surviving are her granddaughter, Lisa Raye Finnegan of Arlington, great grandson, Ryan T. Finnegan, former daughter-in-law, Bonnie Raye-Chizzini and several nieces and nephews including her grand niece, May DeArman. Memorial services will be held 11 AM Friday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the family receiving friends immediately following the services. Private burial will be held at Green Hills Cemetery.
