Freeda S. Drake

Line Lexington, PA - Freeda S. Drake, 79, died Monday February 25, 2002 , in Grand View Hospital, Sellersville, PA. Born in Asheville, she had resided in Pennsylvania with her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and James Seward for the last 20 years. She previously lived in Wilmington, Deleware for about 25 years. She was the daughter of the late Jewell Francis Stevens, Sr. and Caroline Freedona Lohman Stevens and wife of the late Albert W. Drake, Jr. who died in 1974. Mrs. Drake had been a sales associate with the former Levines Fabrics in Colmar, PA and retired from Jo-Mar Textiles, in Lansdale, PA. She will be remembered by her family as one who cherished her children, was a good cook and being very artistic in arts and crafts. Surviving are her daughters, Dona Fries of Souderton, PA and Diane Seward and husband, James of Line Lexington; son, Mike Drake of Wilmington, DE; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Doug Stevens of Asheville; sisters, Airolee Williams of Asheville and Mary Etta Wapinski of Columbia, SC; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Father Frank Seabo officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
