Fred Moeller

Asheville - Henry Fredrick Fred Moeller, IV, 62, of 26 Lovers Loop Road, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he retired in 1992 as a Senior Systems Analyst for the City of Asheville. Fred was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God. He was a awarded the Volunteer of the year in 2002 for the WNC Department of Corrections serving at Craggy Correctional Center, Buncombe County Correctional Center and Black Mountain Correctional Center for Women. He was the son of Henry Fredrick Moeller, III of Oteen, and the late Virginia Britt Moeller. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Miller. Surviving in addition to his father are his wife, Marsha Moore Moeller, of the home; children: Jason Moeller of Georgia, Linda Cheetham and husband Bill of Norton, MA, Gale D. Penza and Cindy of Saratoga Springs, NY, James Barnes and wife Miranda of Marion, Jeff Barnes and wife Donna of Marion, and Cliff Barnes and Caroline of Marion; 12 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday at Crossroads Assembly of God, with Pastor J. Michael Brown, Pastor Wade Zachary, and Pastor Bob Chuprevich officiating. Burial will follow in the Bon-A-Venture Cemetery in Clyde. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Saturday at the church.
