Fred Graham

Alexander Roy Fred Graham, 90, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native of Madison County, he had resided in Buncombe County for most of his life. He retired in 1988 from Square D where he served for over 15 years, worked for Sayles Biltmore Bleacheries for 11 years and for most of his life was a farmer. He was a member of Newbridge Baptist Church. Mr. Graham was the son of the late Arley Talmadge Graham and Nellie Riddle Graham and was the husband of Gladys Louise Buckner Graham who passed away February 8, 2017. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, D.J. Graham and Porter Graham and sister, Allie Metcalf. Surviving are his daughters, Karen Graham and Janice B. Graham both of Alexander; foster son, Henry Beheler and wife Anita of Gastonia; sister, Ethel Tolley of Marshall and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, August 6, 2017 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Clark E. Henderson and Rev. Wesley Pike officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:15 PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Brother Wolf, P.O.
