Frank Shuffler

Roy Frank Shuffler, 70, of54 Oakdale Drive, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022, at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mr. Shuffler was a son of the late Horace Phillip Shuffler and Helen Mae Searcy Shuffler. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Horace Phillip Shuffler, Jr. and sisters, Frances Webb and Linda Shuffler. Mr. Shuffler retired in 2014 from AVL Technologies and previously was a machinist at Steelcase when he worked for many years. He was an avid athlete having played softball for many different leagues over the years, loved sitting on his porch and a friend to all. Surviving are his wife, Mary Evelyn Lindsey Shuffler of the home; daughter, Chastity Case (Richard), grand daughters, Kaylee Ruth Case and Lindsey Louise Case all of Candler; sisters, Joyce Bishop of Hendersonville and Sarah Webb (Vernon) of Fayetteville; brother, Jerry Shuffler of Greenwood, SC; several nieces and nephews and Matthew Cogburn of Asheville who was like a son to him. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 17, 2022 at 2PM in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Rhinehart officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following memorial services at the funeral home.
