Frank Fisher

Asheville - Eugene Frank Fisher, 74, of 139 Cowan Cove Road, died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at Memorial Mission Hospital following a period of declining health. A native of Madison County, he had resided in Buncombe County most of his life. He retired in 1986 from BASF following 31 years of service. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Fisher was the son off the late James Taft Fisher and Frances Rector Wallin and was also preceded in death by brothers Ted and Bruce Fisher formerly of California. Surviving are his wife, June Fisher of the home; daughter, Joie Gilstrap and her special friend George Hammond of Asheville; sister, Shirley Quinn of Flagler Beach, FL. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. Memorials may be made to: American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1132, Fairfax, VA 22038.
