Frank "Bud" Taylor

Candler – Frank Eldridge “Bud” Taylor, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Frank Taylor and Thelma Young Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Rosa Farel Parton Taylor who passed away on August 29, 2014; grandson, Christopher Taylor and brother-in-law, Bruce Blankenship. Mr. Taylor, along with his wife, owned and operated Winter Seal Company and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and attended Good News Baptist Church. Surviving are his daughter, Freda Taylor Wells and husband David of Candler; sons, Bryan Douglas Taylor and wife Diane of Knightdale and Calvin Wayne Taylor of Johnson City, TN; grandchildren, Brianne Taylor Brim and husband Shane, Courtney Taylor and Mitchell Taylor; great grandson, Taylor Winters; sister, Janet Blankenship of Candler; brothers, Bruce Taylor and wife Paula and Larry Taylor and wife Peggy all of Candler and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, December 12, 2020 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Smith and Rev. Rick Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A time of gathering will be held from 1 to 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
