Frances Simmons Creasman

Frances Simmons Henson Creasman, 96, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 at the Aston Park Health Care Center. She was born September 27, 1919 in Forest City, NC and resided in Avery County until moving to Buncombe County in 1958. She was a daughter of the late Horace King Simmons and Alberta Woody Simmons. She was also preceded in death by her husbands: David Oren D.O. Creasman and Lawrence Herman Henson; daughter, Dorsey Waddell; brothers: Charles Simmons, Earl Simmons, Horace Simmons, Jr. Letcher Pyatte, Larry Pyatte, Lester Pyatte, and Leslie Pyatte; sisters: Faye Chatman, Fonda Pyatte Searcy, and Fern Pyatte. Mrs. Creasman was a member of White Rock Baptist Church for the past 58 years. She is survived by her children: Denver Henson and wife Jackie, Kenneth Henson and wife Vivian, Carolyn Henson Hill, Douglas Henson and wife Tammy, Hayden Henson and wife Sandy, Lawrence Henson and wife Maria, Delores Ann Alder, and David A. Creasman and wife Beth; sister, Farilyn Pyatte Woodard; brother, Lon Pyatte and wife Vestal; 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and many nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, May 7, 2016 at White Rock Baptist Church, 91 Medford Branch Rd, Candler, NC, with Dr. Robert Oliver officiating. Burial will follow at White Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 till 3 PM Saturday at the church.
