Candler Frances Auldredge Ball, 89, formerly of 341 Curtis Creek Road, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the Silver Bluff Village in Canton. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was formerly employed with Vanderbilt Shirt Company where she served as a quality control inspector, and was a lifelong member of Maple Ridge Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Claude Alfonso and Octavia Clarke Auldredge and wife of David Curtis Ball who died in 1994. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gary Ball; daughter, Kay Ball Hamlin; sisters, Pauline Owenby and Nanette Dowdle and brothers, Max and Walter Auldredge. Surviving are her son, Ted Ball of Shallotte; daughter, Joyce Ball of Canton; grandchildren, Lora Morgan (Shannon), Wayne Hamlin, Shaylene Ball, Traci Stafford and Tim Ball (Della); great grandchildren, Pressley and Andrew Morgan, Cassie Bailey and Jessie Rice; sisters, Jean Hunter, Vivian Scott and Virginia Tweed and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Pisgah View Memorial Park with Rev. Bobby Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from following services at the home of Lora and Shannon Morgan, 264 Morgan Branch Road in Leicester. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Silver Bluff Village and Four Seasons Hospice for their love given to Mrs. Ball and our family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731 or charity of ones choice.
